Located in the heart of downtown Charlottetown, the Murphy’s Community Centre houses the largest bowling alley on the Island. Murphy’s Bowling Centre has been the hub of bowling on Prince Edward Island for over 40 years. Our 14 lane, five pin bowling alley offers open regular and glow-in-the-dark bowling, as well as many leagues for youth, adult and senior bowlers. Bowling party packages are also available for birthdays, team parties, staff functions, family gatherings, etc. Bowling is a fun, affordable sport that everyone can enjoy. Youth Programs
Murphy’s Bowling Centre offers a youth bowling program for children aged 4 to 18 on Saturday mornings from September to May. Registration begins mid September and leagues are formed by the end of September. The four age groups are as follows: - Smurfs - Not 6 years of age as of Dec.31/08
- Bantams - Not 11 years of age as of Dec. 31/08
- Juniors - Not 14 years of age as of Dec. 31/08
- Seniors - Not 19 years of age as of Dec. 31/08.

Children & Youth Bowling Birthday Parties
Looking for a fun way to celebrate your child’s birthday? Check out the great bowling/pizza packages available at the Bowling Lanes. Parties include bowling, shoe rental, party space for an hour, pizza and a soft drink. Effective October 1st, 2008 the price for these parties is $10.50 per child taxes included,. Time restrictions may apply, and reservations are required.

Team Party Packages
Our ever popular, bowling/pizza party packages are available for any team party at a reduced rate of $9.50 per child (shoe rental and tax included).

Gymnasium Party Packages
The gymnasium is also available for birthday packages similar to what is offered in the bowling lanes. These parties include the gym rental (includes soccer balls, basketballs, and ball hockey nets) for an hour, a smaller room for an additional hour with 2 - 15" pizzas, 4 - 750ml size pop, plates, cups, napkins etc. The price for this is $105 taxes included. Please note that while the gym parties are only available during the Centre’s gym program season October to May, special event rentals are available year round.
Our gymnasium is available for groups, who are looking to rent space for various sporting activities as well as special events such as a fund raisers, dances, flea markets, casinos, youth rallies, etc.

Glow Bowling
Glow Bowling certainly enhances the social bowling atmosphere with disco lighting, satellite music selections from over 100 stations, and glowing lanes. Be sure to check out “Glow Bowling”. Effective October 1st, 2008 cost for glow bowling is $5.75 per person for one hour and fifteen minutes, shoe rental and tax included.

Lane 15
Murphy’s Community Centre also has a licensed lounge, ”Lane 15", adjacent to the bowling lanes. Lane 15 is available for large, private bowling parties or for small, social gatherings. Murphy’s Bowling Centre offers a special adult package (19 & over) which is $65 per lane (6 bowlers maximum) for 1 hour and fifteen minutes bowling, shoe rental, one beverage per person, and a 15" pizza (two toppings). Student Glow Bowling Night
Are you studied out? Come down to Murphy’s Community Centre on Thursdays from 9:30-11pm for an evening of bowling. The price of this special is $4.75 per person, effective October 1st, 2008, which includes bowling, shoe rental, and tax. 55 Plus League
Murphy’s Bowling Centre Seniors 55 Plus League operates on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from mid September to early May. This program is open to male and female bowlers 55 years and older. Spouses under 55 years of age are also eligible.
