Murphy’s Community Centre is a prominent, diverse facility which has operated in the heart of downtown Charlottetown for over 40 years. In addition to its many services and programs, the Centre offers rental space and a full banquet menu for various functions. Whether you need a small meeting room or a large area for a dance or wedding the Centre can accommodate your needs. The banquet staff of Murphy’s Community Centre caters coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners and buffets, as well as hot or cold party trays. Bar service is also available for these functions. In addition to our banquet menu, alternate menu selections may be arranged.

Meeting Rooms
Murphy’s Community Centre is a large facility with a number of meeting rooms available to rent weekdays, evenings and/or weekends and a reduced rate on room rentals is offered to non profit organizations. Some audio visual equipment is available to rent including flip charts, overhead projector and screen.

Gymnasium Rental
Our gymnasium is available for groups who are looking to rent space for various sporting activities as well as special events such as a fund raisers, dances, flea markets, casinos, youth rallies, etc.
The gymnasium is also available for birthday packages similar to what is offered in the bowling lanes. These parties include the gym rental for an hour, a smaller room for an additional hour with 2 - 15" pizzas, 4 - 750ml size pop, plates, cups, napkins etc. The price for this is $105 taxes included. Please note that while the gym parties are only available during the Centre’s gym program season October to May, special event rentals are available year round.
